New AIL (Accident Insurance Law) premium rates as per 2020

From 1 January 2020, the apportionment contribution to the mandatory accident insurance premium will increase. This affects both employers and employees.

According to the Federal Accident Insurance Act, employers pay the premiums for occupational accidents. The premiums for non-occupational accidents are paid by the employee. These contributions will be increased as per 1 January 2020, from 2% to 5% of the net premiums for occupational and non-occupational accident insurance. As an employer, make sure you adjust the premium rates in your wage systems. The apportionment contribution serves to finance the cost-of-living adjustment for long-term benefits (above all Disability- and Survivors' pensions).
